The Virtual Hive platform is built as a true multi-tenancy SAAS product hosted in the cloud and with a specific focus on especially usability, performance and security. Multi-tenancy is a software architecture in which a single instance of a software application serves multiple customers. Each customer is called a tenant. Customers share the software application and databases.
Virtual Hive is furthermore designed in a way that enables you to host and run the platform in multiple different environments, including well-known cloud providers like AWS and Azure, or more local and dedicated hosting environments. The latter is utilized by customers having very specific requirements in terms of e.g. privacy and security.
The Virtual Hive platform consists among other things of two React based user-facing applications, one allowing customers having bought a license to configure specific events (hives) and one for visitors participating in events and thus interacting with the platform. Configuration of events include creating stands, designing the registration and login process, setting up events and belonging programs, etc.
