How we helped Carlsberg deliver a virtual leadership conference and product deep-dive
Carlsberg, a Danish multinational brewer with a portfolio of over 140 brands, needed to bring its Commercial Team Leadership Conference online without losing the depth, interaction, or strategic impact of its usual in-person format. The goal was to align the global management team on brand performance, product strategy, and future direction. Virtual Hive was selected to create an immersive and flexible virtual environment for this high-stakes internal event.
Together, we designed a bespoke 3D conference universe that blended live and on-demand content across eight days. The event included keynote speeches, breakout workshops, and even a virtual beer tasting, all enhanced with interactive features that replicated the in-person feel. A custom-built exhibition hall showcased Carlsberg’s full product portfolio. Each booth offered multimedia insights into individual brands, from history and brewing processes to market performance, and featured real-time Q&A with product managers and master brewers.
A standout session included a live-streamed product demo led by Carlsberg’s brewers, who walked participants through the nuances of each brew. This sensory-rich experience was followed by strategy breakout rooms, where global teams could discuss go-to-market approaches based on the insights gained.
Over three live days, preceded by five days of pre-recorded content, Carlsberg’s leaders explored the brand’s diversity, engaged with their peers, and aligned on key commercial priorities. The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with attendees praising the platform’s seamless navigation, networking features, and depth of content.
The result was more than a conference. Virtual Hive enabled Carlsberg to deliver an interactive leadership event that supported business-critical knowledge sharing while reinforcing brand identity and collaboration across global teams.
