Virtual Copenhagen Pride Week 2020

“It will be different than usual! We’re working with a number of digital formats that are new to us.”

“Together with Agenda Group, our most important partner in that regard, we’ve created City Hall Square as a digital universe, so you can participate from home if you’re not comfortable showing up in real life.”

Lars Henriksen, Chairperson of Copenhagen Pride Week

Copenhagen Pride Week is an event too important to cancel or postpone.
When COVID-19 made it impossible to physically gather the LGBTQIA+ community and likeminded for a beloved and very necessary Copenhagen tradition we gladly accepted the challenge of making the 2020 Copenhagen Pride Week a virtual reality.

Within a very tight timeframe we took on the challenge of making Copenhagen Pride Week a reality in spite of the current restrictions. And not only did we set out to be on par with 2019, but to add to the experience in a way that would make 2020 the best ever and pave the way for 2021 when Copenhagen is hosting World Pride.

The Solution
We designed and built a virtual platform that mirrored Copenhagen City Hall Square – it became the main hub for all content during the week. Live programming such as talks, debates, commentary, pride parade and concerts where all broadcasted via

Virtual experience design and execution, art direction and project management.

More than 25.000 people joined the event during the week.
